      About the Platform

      The BDT Online Learning Platform is designed to allow BDT staff and dealers to easily access courses required for their roles. The Platform contains both free and paid courses.

      The Platform uses cohort-based access, meaning learners may be automatically enrolled in courses depending on their job role. Upon successful completion of a course, learners receive a certificate that shows they have achieved the learning objectives. They can download and print their certificate if desired.

      Some courses may have prerequisites, meaning learners must complete one course before starting another. Course requirements and passing grades will be clearly communicated at the start of the course.

      What is this platform for? +
      Here, you can access training courses that contain important information for your role. Courses are designed to help you build on your existing knowledge and skills so that you can perform your job to the best of your abilities.
      Who is this platform for? +
      This platform is for BDT staff and dealers. It contains free and paid courses that are relevant to different aspects of BDT's business and products. New courses will be published as and when required, with course content tailored to learners' job roles.
      How do I sign up for a course? +
      Depending on your role, you may already have been enrolled in one or more courses – you can access these by navigating to the Available Courses page. If you believe you should be enrolled in a course but cannot access it from the Available Courses page, please contact your Territory Manager or email marketing@bdt.co.nz
      What is the best way to access the Platform? +
      You can access the Online Learning Platform either from the web browser on your computer or from your smartphone or tablet – it's your choice!
      Will I have to complete assessments/quizzes? +
      Depending on the course, you may be required to take an assessment or quiz in order to complete the material. If you don't complete an assessment the first time around, don't worry – for most courses, you will have additional attempts to achieve a passing grade.
      Will I need to complete a course by a certain time? +
      Some courses are time restricted, while others can be accessed indefinitely. If you have any doubts, please contact your Territory manager or contact BDT at the following address: marketing@bdt.co.nz
      Are courses entirely online? +
      This also depends on the course. Some courses can be completed entirely online, while others may require you to attend an in-person workshop or practical demonstration.
      How do I book a place in an in-person workshop / demonstration? +
      If you are required to attend a workshop in order to complete a course, a link will be provided in the course that allows you to book an available space.
      I missed an in-person workshop – can I reschedule? +
      If you booked a space in a workshop but didn't attend, you will need to book another space in order to complete the course. Please contact your Territory Manager or email marketing@bdt.co.nz
      Do I need to complete a course in one sitting? +
      Some courses may have time-based elements or in-person events that you will be required to attend on a specific date. Otherwise, you can exit a course and return to it at a later time if you wish.
      What will happen to my progress in the course? +
      Your progress in a course will be automatically saved so you can easily pick back up where you left off.
      Can I revisit a course after I have completed it? +
      Most courses will have material that you can revisit, even after completing the course. If you are having difficulties accessing course material that you have previously covered, please contact us at the following address: marketing@bdt.co.nz
      Will I ever be notified to take a course I have already completed? +
      Occasionally, BDT may update courses to include new product features, legal requirements or other important information. In these cases, you will be notified by a member of BDT staff so that you can retake the course.
      How do I provide feedback about a course? +
      Depending on the course, you may be asked to complete a survey or questionnaire, either as part of the course itself or after you have completed it. For any general feedback related to courses or the Platform, please email marketing@bdt.co.nz
